Statistics show how often your domain is requested, how much traffic is used and which pages are hit most often. Many 404 or 500 responses can point to technical problems. The analysis is powered by GoAccess, which you enable per domain in the apps section.
Steps
- 1 In VirtualX, open the domain, switch to the "Apps" tab and click "Configure" on "GoAccess Statistics".
- 2 Turn on GoAccess with the toggle switch – the analysis is then generated continuously for that domain.
- 3 Open the dashboard in a new tab via "Open" or the link "yourdomain.com/WEBSTATS".
- 4 Check the key figures: total requests, valid/failed requests, unique visitors, requested files, and the "Unique visitors per day" and "Requested files (URLs)" charts.
- 5 Watch HTTP status codes and suspicious paths (e.g. many hits on /wp-login.php, /.env or /wiki/start – typical bot scans) and compare spikes with your own deployments or campaigns.
- 6 Optionally add your own IP addresses under "Exclude IPs" so your own visits don't skew the stats, and secure the dashboard with "Password-protect statistics" before sharing the link.
