Set up and enable SSL / HTTPS

An SSL certificate encrypts the connection between visitors and your website and shows the lock icon in the browser. SSL is included for every HOST-X domain. The domain must already point to our server before a certificate can be issued.

Steps

  1. 1 Click "SSL" on the left. Certificate status, issuer and expiry are shown.
  2. 2 If the status is missing or invalid, first check whether DNS already points to the server. DNS changes can take up to 24 hours.
  3. 3 When the certificate is valid, enable "Force HTTPS". All HTTP requests are then redirected to HTTPS.
  4. 4 Test https://yourdomain.com in the browser and check the lock icon.
