In the apps section you install common web applications for your domain with one click. Virtual X sets up the files automatically.

Steps

  1. 1 Click "Apps" on the left and choose the application.
  2. 2 Read and confirm the installation dialog.
  3. 3 After installation, open the admin URL and check whether the app works.
  4. 4 Install updates immediately, change default passwords and protect logins.

Secure WordPress after installation

  1. 1 Open https://yourdomain.com/wp-admin and log in.
  2. 2 Update all plugins and themes.
  3. 3 Install a backup plugin and create the first backup.
  4. 4 Check that the site URL uses https.
  5. 5 Protect the login with a security plugin or login attempt limits.
  6. 6 Replace WordPress pseudo cron with a real cron job.
